"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is
the kingdom of God.

again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in
riches to enter the kingdom of God!
Lu 1:17 "He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn
the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom
of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the
unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children
would be unclean, but now they are holy.
Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with
3 "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up
in the training and admonition of the Lord.
Col 3:18 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
1 Tim 3:12 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and
their own houses well.
Disobedience to parents listed with other serious sins:
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness,
covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-
mindedness; they are whisperers,
30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil
things, disobedient to parents,
31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice
such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve
of those who practice them.
Parents who failed to train their young children who subsequently become criminals when they
grow up were required to bring them to the court system for justice:
Deut 21:18 "If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the
voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have
chastened him, will not heed them,
19 "then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to
the elders of his city, to the gate of his city.
20 "And they shall say to the elders of his city, 'This son of ours is stubborn
and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a
21 "Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you
shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.
